A self contained enrichment and diagnostic thinking skills program for K-3. Contains lessons in convergent analysis, divergent synthesis, evaluation, and visual/spatial thinking as well as diagnostic checklists for each type of thinking. Each unit includes detailed lesson plans with diagnostic notes, read-aloud instructional stories, whole class and small group activities, and reproducibles. Children will love the stories featuring the “six thinking specialists” of Crystal Pond Woods: Dudley the Detective, Isabel the Inventor, Jordan the Judge, Sybil the Scientist, Yolanda the Yarnspinner, and Max the Magician. PETS1 introduces the characters and provides 4 lessons for each problem solving strategy. PETS2 provides 24 more lessons to further develop the thinking strategies. PETS3 provides more complex challenges in logic, invention, visual perception,
